Wade Hlady was born in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, a small town an hour’s drive from the Alberta border. He grew up with a strong sense of justice and a passion for community involvement. This passion led to his attendance at the University of Saskatchewan where he studied law.
In addition to his studies, Wade continued to contribute to his community, volunteering at an inner-city after school program, tutoring young offenders at an alternative detention facility, and producing Legal Follies, the college’s most successful charitable organization.
After being called to the bar in 2012, Wade began his criminal law practice and has successfully represented hundreds of clients throughout all of Alberta. Additionally, he has continued to volunteer in the community, most recently by setting up a free legal advice clinic in partnership with Lethbridge’s Native Counseling office. Wade has been asked to lecture on various topics of the law and has made appearances at the University of Lethbridge, on local television and radio, and as a featured lecturer at the Southern Alberta Counsel on Public Affairs.
